Fortune Beckons The Dragon Year At Golden Peony
Representing authority and good fortune synonymous with the Dragon, master of Cantonese cuisine Chef Ku Keung presents an extraordinary collection of set menus and à la carte specialties for guests to enjoy from 15 January to 24 February. With over 18 years of imparting his signature, creative culinary style into countless novel interpretations of timeless Cantonese classics, this year is no exception, and guests can expect a selection of exquisite, time-honoured traditional Cantonese fare with a lively, innovative twist of modern allure.
The traditional Yu Sheng is a mainstay dish that celebrants look forward to every Lunar New Year. Golden Peony’s rendition of this iconic dish, the Fortune Gold Flakes Yu Sheng features a medley of prized ingredients including lobster, baby abalone, crispy white bait, golden coin chicken bak kwa, fish skin, and fresh fruit. The Yu Sheng is also available for pick- up or delivery.
Chef Ku has curated four opulent set menus for diners celebrating in groups of 10, alongside two set menus for intimate celebrations, as well as a vegetarian menu. Indulge in prosperous highlights that pay homage to the Dragon Year such as the latest rendition of his annual traditional roasted suckling pig – the succulent Roasted Suckling Pig Stuffed with Fried Chicken Kimchi Fried Rice, and the Spanish Carabinero Prawn ‘Yuan Yang’ Fish Paste Noodle, which, as its name implies, is a velvet blend of springy black and white fish paste noodles presented as a visually striking, harmonious spectacle.
Guests can also expect other classics like the mouthwatering Water Bamboo Shoot Stir- fried with Giant Grouper in Signature Home XO Sauce, and Dragon Grouper Steamed with Black Bean Sauce and Ten Years Mandarin Peel. For a sweet ending, relish the Chilled Dragon Fruit Pudding or homemade ‘nian gao’ with sweet potato and yam.
On the customary Seventh Day of the Lunar New Year (人日) on 16 February 2024, all guests dining for lunch and dinner will be gifted a Homemade Longevity Bun in celebration of their birthday.
