Rooftop The Standard, London Relaunched With Decimiño By Peter Sanchez-Iglesias

Heralding the arrival of spring, The Standard, London is excited to announce the opening of The Rooftop on Thursday 7th April 2022. Stretching over the 11th floor of the iconic building, the open-air fiesta spot will offer a line-up of renowned DJs, cocktails on tap and a new food concept from the Michelin-starred chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias. Open seven days a week for both spontaneous walk-ins and reservations from 4pm during the week and 1pm Friday to Sunday, The Rooftop will offer the perfect spot to soak up a slice of The Standard buzz.

Following a full refit, The Standard, London is most excited to introduce its new Spanish-Mexican food concept, Decimiño. A cheeky baby sister to the hotel’s much-loved 10th-floor restaurant, Decimo, Decimiño will serve a range of tacos including Stewed Fried Chicken with Pico de Gallo and the Refried beans with Queso, all served with El Yucateco and Fresh Lime; starting from £6.

To accompany, Black Lines will serve a range of delicious cocktails on tap including the cult favourite, Espresso Martini. Also serving Rum Punch with gold rum, pineapple, passion fruit, ginger, lime and of course the classic Spicy Tommy’s Margarita, served with Blanco tequila, chilli, lime and agave nectar. The Standard’s famous slushies are also waiting to be served in the form of Mango Margaritas and Aperol Spritz. Cocktails start from £12.

The Rooftop will bring a vibrant feel suited to both the party crowd and those simply dropping in for a relaxed slushie in the sun. Home to parties and chilled sundowners, the hotel continues to hold its rank as the hottest place to be in King Cross and now it’s getting a little hotter with a full DJ lineup still to be announced.

Making sure Standard guests can always get in on the action, the hotel will also offer the High Standards room package from £289. Book a room for the night and The Standard will provide the views and a round of the specially selected cocktails at the rooftop bar. Plus, breakfast in bed the morning after – cheers to that!
