Kintetsu Rail Passes Available Online For Unlimited Japan Train Travel

These one-day, two-day, five-day and five-day-plus passes from Kintetsu Railway Co., Ltd. will allow you and your loved ones to enjoy comfortable and affordable rides throughout the Kansai region in Japan, which includes Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Mie and Nagoya. All passes allow unlimited use of trains within designated areas and all but the regular five-day pass allow unlimited use of buses within those areas as well. What Are My Kintetsu Rail Passes Options? 

All passes cover major tourist spots in Kyoto, Osaka and Nara, and five-day passes cover additional areas including the Yoshino world heritage site, renowned for its cherry blossoms and autumn foliage; Iga, the homeland of ninja; Yunoyama Hot Springs, where you and your loved ones can relax in falling snow; and beautiful Ise-Shima, site of last year’s G7 summit.

1. One-Day Kintetsu Rail Passes

Priced at 1,500 yen for adults and 750 yen for children, this one-day pass allows you unlimited rides on the Kintetsu Railway within ŌSAKA-NAMBA and KINTETSU-NARA, KYŌTO and TSUTSUI, NAGATA and IKOMA, and TORIIMAE and IKOMASANJŌ as well as Nara Kotsu Bus Lines in areas between Nara Park, Nishinokyo, and Horyuji Temple. 

2. Two-Days Kintetsu Rail Pass

Priced at 2,500 yen for adults and 1,250 yen for children, this two-day pass allows you unlimited rides on the Kintetsu Railway across all of Osaka, Nara and Kyoto Prefectures as well as Nara Park, Nishinokyo, Horyuji Temple, Asuka, Muro and Yamanobe-no-Michi areas on Nara Kotsu Bus Lines.

3. Five-Days Kintetsu Rail Pass

Priced at 3,600 yen for adults and 1,800 yen for children, this rail pass allows you unlimited rides on all the Kintetsu Railway lines and Iga Railway. You can get on and off as many times as you like, at any stops along their routes in the area. Plus you can also enjoy special benefits offered by the facilities too. 

4. Five-Days Kintetsu Rail Pass Plus

Priced at 4,800 yen for adults and 2,400 yen for children, this rail pass allows you unlimited rides on all the Kintetsu Railway lines, Iga Railway, Nara Kotsu Bus, Mie Kotsu Bus, and Toba’Kamome'(Seagull) Bus services in the Ise-Shima area. This means that you can get on and off as many times as you like, at any stops along their routes in the area which is a great way to really explore and experience Japan. Plus you can also enjoy special benefits offered by the facilities too.

Kintetsu railway routes cover the entire Kansai region, which is extremely popular for tourism year-round because of its scenic beauty, splendid cuisine, unique culture, warm hospitality and long colourful history. Limited express trains are also available at additional cost for faster travel and can be reserved at the Limited Express e-ticket website, which accepts major credit cards.

Express e-tickets require no ticket exchange at stations, and tickets for popular Sightseeing Limited Express trains can also be reserved at the same website, but they sell out rather quickly. Free Kintetsu Wi-Fi is provided at 29 Kintetsu train stations for convenience.

How Do I Purchase My Passes Online?

You can purchase your rail passes online in 3 simple steps! First, visit Kintetsu Tourist Guide – Rail Passes Webpage. Next, select the desired pass, fill in the required information in English and press “Purchase”.

Once that is done, the reservation number and QR code will be sent to your registered email account (make sure you key in the correct email address). You just need to show the QR code at any Kintetsu train station to receive the pass. It is really fast and easy even for folks who do not understand Japanese!
