Don’t forget a hat that protects your neck at the back and face. To avoid severe sun burns carry a cream that is around 50 SPF and add a good pair of polarized sun glasses.
  • Make sure the clothes you choose are light in weight and keep you cool. Apart from a beautiful min dress for a romantic dinner, pack a light long dress, you will not be disappointed. Pack a kaftan to serve as a cover up for your bikini. Although some resorts have a policy of no shoes, get a pair of sandals.
  • Carry your own snookering gear and any other water toys of your choice. Get an underwater camera as you go on a Maldives yacht charter and if the resort you are booked in accommodates using a drone, pack it, its shots are magnificent.
  • Get a beach bag which can serve as a dry bag as well. This is because you will be near water and it’s essential to keep your items dry.
  • If you are coming from outside the United Kingdom, carry an adaptor.

In every place there are certain regulations which are observed such as:

  • No packing alcohol. It will be confiscated upon entry. Though some resorts serve alcohol but some do it on a boat which means they are not on land so its legal
  • Not every beach allows walking around in a bikini only. Maldives has a high population of Muslims and the dressing should be modest. However there are secluded bikini resorts.
  • Don’t pack any pork and the byproducts.
  • Even when you book your visit during the rainy season, don’t pack many warm clothes.

You may find it suitable to only visit Maldives for your honeymoon. However, a vacation to Maldives can accommodate everyone, whether single, married or in a group.
