When we book a hotel, we tend to create high expectations about it in our minds. In other words, we believe that we will always be able to get a luxurious experience by staying at a hotel. 1. Look for the bed bugs
The first thing you need to do is to look for bed bugs. When there are bed bugs, you will never be able to get a pleasant experience during the time that you spend in the hotel. In most of the hotel rooms, you will be able to see bed bugs. That’s because bed bugs can easily get hitched to the suitcase of a person and spread.
As soon as you go into the hotel room, you need to remove the comforter off from the bed and take a look at the corner seams. Then you will be able to notice the signs that indicate bed bugs. Or else, you will be able to see their droppings. If it is too dark, you can simply use the flashlight of your mobile phone to get the inspection done.
2. Check if there is a quality mattress
When you are at the hotel, you will be spending a considerable amount of your time on the mattress. Therefore, you need to check if there is a high quality mattress available of 2019 in the hotel room or not. Then you will be able to get a frustrating experience when you are sleeping in bed. 3. Inspect the overall cleanliness

Then you will be able to stay away from a variety of surprises that you will face in the long run.
5. Remove the comforter
The comforters are in need of special washing. However, some of the hotels don’t tend to wash them at all. This is why you need to remove the comforter as soon as you check into the hotel room. 7. Double check and see if the thermostat is working
You should also double check and see if the thermostat is working or not. If the thermostat is not working properly, there is a high possibility for you to end up with frustration at the hotel. When you get into the bed, you don’t want to notice that it is too cold or hot to sleep. Therefore, you need to take a look at the thermostat of the hotel room and make sure that it is functioning properly. You must do this, even before you unpack the bags after walking into the hotel room.
