How To Recreate The Beef Cannelloni Tasted In Sicily

My last vacation overseas was a super relaxing two-week stay on the beautiful Italian island of Sicily. Sicily is a unique island with amazing scenery, beautiful sandy beaches, volcanoes on the horizon and most importantly, irresistible food! Before I visited, I didn’t know that cannelloni filled pasta tubes are native to this Mediterranean island. I’ve been obsessed with cannelloni recipes ever since I got back home!

One of the best cannelloni recipes I found in my search was on the fantastic cook.me website. Their Beef Cannelloni is a delicious combination of meaty beef filling, creamy bechamel sauce drenched in a zingy tomato sauce and baked in the oven. As I browsed the delicious photographs and read the recipe steps, I couldn’t wait to try it!

The Cook.me beef cannelloni recipe tastes absolutely delicious, and it is quite easy to make too. I don’t know about you, but I’ve often been scared of the idea of making my own cannelloni because I could never figure out how to stuff the filling into the pasta tubes. I feel a bit silly now having seen how easy it is in the cook.me recipe. Simply use a spoon to fill each shell with the meat and bechamel mixture.

Then, the tip is to use your finger to ensure the filling goes all the way to the center of the shell. Once the tubes are filled, place them in the baking dish and pour the tomato sauce over the top. Bake in the oven and enjoy!
