Best time of The Year for Everest Base Camp Trekking

Nepal has four major seasons including summer, Autumn, Spring, and Winter. Autumn Season

Autumn is a perfect time of the year for trekking in Everest or any other region in Nepal. The autumn falls in the months of starting from September, October, and November. These months are relatively low chances of rainfall also a low chance of cancelling the internal flight to and from Lukla. Spring Season

Spring is one of the peak seasons for trekking to Everest in Nepal, however, this falls in the month of March, April, and May. Getting to Everest Base Camp

Getting to Everest Base camp is easy, you can take a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla by a small aircraft, the flight between Kathmandu and Lukla would be about 35 minutes, it is one of the fastest way getting into the Everest / Khumbu Valley, However, you can take another option by land to go on Everest via Salleri and trek to Base camp but it always demands another 5-7 extra days to complete the whole journey, the flight is the best option for those who are travelling to Nepal on a limited time, remember that flight too and from Lukla sometime can be delayed or even cancelled due to the weather conditions it happens most of the times in Summer. There are two different trekking itineraries for the Everest base camp trek, if you go by fly it can be finished in 12 days or if you want to experience more about the countryside of Nepal and take more trek days on the mountain then you can prefer to take a jeep and starts the trek from Salleri so this itinerary takes up to 20 days. During the  Everest Base Camp Trek, you will have a great time exploring the iconic Sherpa villages of Lukla, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Laboche, and many more in Khumbu Valley.

Trekking Permits Fees & Requirements

Trekking in Nepal or any other country might require an entrance permit, so there is no doubt about it, Everest Base Camp Trek always required an entry trekking permit of Sagarmatha National park which can be brought up either in Kathmandu or Lukla/ Monjo. ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival Day in Kathmandu and leisure time

Day 2: Pree- trek meeting and explore the Kathmandu valley itself

Day 3: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla 35 min by air, and trek to Phakding 92660 m)

Day 4:Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3420m) 

Day 5:Acclimatization day at Namche Bazar short hike to Everest view lodge (3700m)

Day 6:Trek from Namche to Tengboche (Manastry) 93910m)

Day 7:Trek from Tangboche to Dingboche (4,350m)

Day 8:Acclimatization  day at Dingboche, short hike to Nagrjung hill (5100m)

Day 9:Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910m)

Day 10:Trek from Labuche  to Everest Base Camp (5,365 meters) – Gorak Shep (5,180m)

Day 11: Early Hike  to Kala Patthar (5,545m)-  Pheriche (4,120m)

Travel Insurance
