Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and is located just off the coast of Italy. Sicily is home to the highest volcano in Europe and it is a great site to behold. Mount Etna is a spectacular site and you certainly can’t miss it. You may even visit when the volcano is spewing lava, something that you don’t see every day. Tourists can visit the active craters and there are guided walks through Etna Park available. This volcano also offers Sicilians and travellers a chance to practice winter sports whilst a few kilometres from the ocean!
