Traveling somewhere new is often exciting and full of adventure. One of the hardest parts about it can be determining where to go next though. There’s so much to see and do, it’s hard to prioritize where to go. If you’re thinking about starting in the United States, here are some of the most famous and well-loved places to visit first.

Orlando, Florida

Home to some of the greatest theme parks in America, Orlando, Florida is a must-visit place for just about everyone. It’s a place built for age groups and people types. You can find thrilling rides, relive childhood memories, and maybe even experience some magical moments. With all that it has to offer, this is a great travel destination for families, but it’s not limited to only them. It’s also a place that you could find yourself spending several weeks at or just dropping in for a weekend visit.

Grand Canyon

One of America’s most natural attractions is the Grand Canyon. Located in Arizona, nature lovers from all over the world come to see this magnificent sight. Since it is so large, there are several different spots that one can visit in order to get the full effect of the site. Several hiking trails are available for anyone to enjoy, but there are also some carved-out paths for those who are unsure of the terrain.

New York City

New York City could be considered one of the most exciting places in America. It’s filled with hundreds of activities and special sites. One can visit here and experience a little bit of history, fine arts, exquisite cuisines, and of course, shopping. This is the place to go if you’re looking to do a little bit of everything on your trip. Broadway has produced some of the world’s most famous plays here, and you never know what newscaster you might run into on the street. The nightlife is just as exciting as what goes on during the day here as well. Cruises from NYC can also be found, allowing you to visit the city as well as experience other places.

Washington D.C

Anyone who is looking to learn more about the United States of America should visit Washington D.C. It not only holds the nation’s capital, but it houses its leader here as well. The monuments and museums that are located here are some of the greatest ones I could ever experience. They range from containing important war artifacts to national documents, and even currency printing. One of the many draws to visit this location is that a majority of these experiences are free to see. This is especially helpful for those who are looking to travel on a budget.

Hawaii

Just about everyone you talk to will tell you they want to visit Hawaii someday. With its sunny weather and sandy beaches, it’s hard to imagine why anyone would not enjoy a trip out to this beautiful state. For those who are opposed to sand, there are several other activities and sites you can visit including beautiful mountains and underwater snorkeling. Several working plantations are also available for one to tour that show visitors how things are harvested and made.

Boston, Massachusetts

Although it is tucked away in the top right corner of the United States, Boston, Massachusetts is a place any tourist would be happy to visit. It is filled with historical significance as it was home to a lot of Revolutionary War happenings. Several of the nation’s leaders came from this city, causing our nation to be what it is today. It’s also home to some of the most popular and well-known sports teams, making it a great place for sports enthusiasts to visit. You’ll find some pretty unique museums and institutions here as well.
