Say Hi To Ditto & Start Catching It On Pokémon GO Singapore

The last non-legendary Pokémon from the original 151 Ditto has finally made its appearance into the game Pokémon Go! Ditto, which has the ability to take on the form and abilities of the other Pokémon it’s facing in battle is now available for players to catch. However, catching it would take more than skills and Pokemon Radar Apps. You will soon realise that you don’t hate Rattatas and Pidgeys that much anymore. What can Ditto do after you caught it? Read on to have all your questions answer!

How To Catch A Ditto?

Now for the important question. How do you catch this elusive new Pokemon? If you have been following the Pokemon cartoons closely, you should know that he’s not just going to just show up on your map as a giant pink blob. The cunning folks at Niantic had Ditto inserted into Pokémon GO disguised as other Pokémon. So you won’t know if you’ve caught it until it reveals itself after you capture whatever he’s transformed itself into!

If you have a habit of putting your phone down after the Pokeball clicks for a capture, you might not have even realised you caught Ditto, as this is a totally new mechanic. Make sure you stick around this time because there is a short cutscene where you will see Ditto reveal himself. What a way to make sure you start paying special attention to every catch you make. Which Particular Pokemon To Look Out For?

So far, it seems that Ditto loves to transform itself into some of the most common Pokémon such as Rattatas, Pidgeys, Spearows and Magikarp. However, according to The Silph Road, Ditto may be able to transform from almost any Pokemon species.

Can I Catch Multiple Dittos?

Yes, you can catch multiple Dittos! The statistics are still pretty luck based now. Ditto shows up not just in the wild but if you use lures or incense as well. Start burning those incenses now!

What Can Ditto Do?

Once you obtained a Ditto, it will automatically use transform in gyms and copy the look and moves of whatever Pokémon you’re facing off against. Ditto is a 3 km buddy so you can increase his CP by walking but it is still too early to tell if Ditto is a battling powerhouse.
