My pampering stay at one of Taipei city’s newest hotel – the exquisitely designed Mandarin Oriental Taipei has permanently spoil me for all my future travels accommodations. Ideally located in the heart of the city on Dunhua North Road and just a short 15 minute car journey from Taipei business district, Taipei 101 and other key city attractions, the beautiful European-inspired architecture of Mandarin Oriental facade, elegant interiors and sincere warm hospitality are not the factors that wowed me. They have a good spread of Omelette and Egg Benedict for those who desire Western Breakfast as well as Assorted Dim Sum and Taiwanese Pancake for the Asian palate. I wasn’t particularly impressed with their dim sum and Taiwanese Pancake.
But the Congee was awe-inspiring! With 5 whole abalones in a bowl of porridge, why would I want to order anything else? I am definitely going for a second helping.
After our hearty breakfast, we explore PAGES, a library for exclusive luxury publications housed within the brasserie
and FUEGUIA 1833, a high-end Argentina Perfumery.
