The North East Line (NEL) in Singapore is a spectacle of its own kind. While most of us use it daily, we may not realise that our humble Purple Line actually holds the record of being the world’s first fully automated and driverless underground rapid transit line! Travelling from one end of this line to the other end takes 33 minutes and we were surprised to find out that 15 new cafes have sprung up along its 16 stations between January to June 2016.
