10. Learn about local culture together

You may also grab this opportunity during your stay to join Club Med Bali’s various excursions (additional cost) to discover local cultures. Here are some of the photos taken during a day excursion:

Tanah Lot: One of the the most visited and photographed temple in Bali,. It is a great place to watch the sunset.

club-med-bali-39

Pura Taman Ayun. Taman Ayun literally translates as Beautiful Garden and is regarded as one of the most attractive temples in Bali. Built in 1634 by the King of Mengwi, I Gusti Agung Putu, the temple is bordered by wide canals which irrigate the fields around the site. The temple is dedicated to the ancestor of the Mengwi Dynasty and other important Gods. Taman Ayun Temple is regarded as the “mother temple” for Mengwi Kingdom. It was a sight to behold.

The resort also has other creative activities you can take part like local dance lessons, cooking workshops and much more.

11. Enjoy the surrounding of Club Med Bali (Bonus)

As you walk around the resort, you may find Frangipani flowers all over! Bali is home to tropical flowers and the Balinese people use a large variety of flowers for their daily offerings (often used in the banten, or religious offerings).

club-med-bali-42

At Club Med Bali, you can find various species of Frangipani trees adorned with colourful flowers in various hues. Some women like to put a flower behind their ear. Try taking a selfie with one on your ear.

club-med-bali-43

Else, just lay by the beach with a glass of wine and enjoy the sea breeze.

club-med-bali-44

Club Med Bali has a great sunset view too! Best timing to watch sunrise at Club Med Bali is around 6.19am. My advice is go 10-15 minutes early to find a good spot (I like the pavilion). Bring your tripod to get a good family photo with the sunset else go with a wefie shot on your mobile phone is also good enough.

Besides enjoying ourselves in the resort, we also managed to catch an interview with Mr Eric Lejuene, the Chef de Village of Club Med Bali.

1) What are some of Club Med Bali’s best kept secrets?

Our Executive Chef prepares about 40 personalised dishes daily for our guests using the freshest produce of the day. These personalised dishes are literally off-the-menu!
